Sony unveils PlayStation 4 with touchpad and motion control.

PS4New York: On Wednesday, Sony unveiled its next-generation gaming system, the PlayStation 4.

The new PlayStation’s updated controller strongly resembles the PlayStation 3 controller but adds a touchpad, motion control and a share button.

Sony said that the console will be part of a latest ecosystem which is focused on hardware, software and the fastest, most powerful gaming network. The PlayStation 4 will be Sony’s first foremost game console since the PlayStation 3 went on sale in 2006.

Mark Cerny, lead system architect on PlayStation 4, said that the controller on the new console dubbed “DualShock 4” will have a touch pad.

Sony has also revamped the user interface on the latest console which keeps tabs on user preferences and added social networking features.
