BTAD situation is under control: Tarun Gogoi.

Tarun gogoiGuwahati: Assam CM Tarun Gogoi said that the situation in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) of the state is under control and there is no influx of people from the state to north Bengal.

He said while referring to the ethnic riots between Bodos and minorities earlier this year “There was an incidence no doubt but all have returned.”

The situation was under control now, he said on the sidelines of PanIIT Global programme “I don’t know if anybody is still staying in north Bengal.”

He also said that “If you have, given us a list of the exact number of people (from Assam in north Bengal).”

Four BTAD districts and neighbouring Dhubri was rocked by racial violence in July-August and in November this year which asserted about 100 lives and made over 4 lakh people flee their homes.
