HUL contributed Rs 1 crore of relief material for Assam flood victims.

HULGuwahati: Cosmetics major Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has donate Rs 1 crore worth of relief material for flood victims in Assam.

The relief materials include essentials such as soap, wash soap bar, salt, rice, pulses and mustard oil and these will be circulated to concerning 2800 families affected by several waves of stern floods in the state, reports said.

The material was entrusted by HUL’s Doomdooma factory manager Krishna Bhosale to Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner Meenakshi Sundaram.

The relief work was being coordinated with the assist of company’s factory colleagues in Doomdooma, store staff and key retail stockists of the company in the region.

The release said that HUL’s Doomdooma factory has been in constant touch with the Assam Government to recognize and provide support to the affected people.
