Brand-new Acer C7 Chromebook officially launched at just $199.

It is powered by an Intel Celeron 847 processor and equipped with 2GB of DDR3 memory; the new device will be available to US customers starting tomorrow on the Google Play store.

It is weighing just 3.05 pounds and measuring only one-inch thick, the device features the Google Chrome OS, the company’s latest browser-based OS that is auto updated for stability and security.

The Acer C7 is capable of booting in just 18 seconds and also included on the second-gen Acer Chromebook is a 1.1GHz processor with 2MB LC3 cache, and a 320GB HDD.

Acer has also thrown in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI port for pushing video to your external displays and HDTVs.
