ByondTech, which has first launched its products on e-commerce sites a week back, has already sold 4,000 units in India.
The mibook series tablets feature android v4.0.4 with Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 3D video and gaming, kinetic scrolling touch pad, capacitive 5 point multi touch screen, etc. The 3D-devices come across 7, 9 and 10-inch screens, are powered by Android operating system and have SIM card slots.
Prashant Bora, CEO of ByondTech Electronics said that “Seeing the demand and growth of low-cost tablets in the Indian market, we expect to sell 500,000 tablets and to gain a 15 per cent share in the growing tablet PC market in the country in a year’s time.”
He said that “The tablet PC market in India is growing at a faster rate. According to market prediction, the current annual demand may double to 6 million tablets in the coming year.”
