Facebook launched real-life gifts service.

Facebook gift serviceFacebook launched on Thursday a service called Gifts, which lets users send chocolate, coffee, and other real-life presents.

It is presently limited to people in the US, where users will be able to click on a gifts icon on their Facebook friends’ pages on Facebook’s website or Android mobile phones.

The icon will also show up on the right side of users’ Facebook pages with the notification for friends’ birthdays, weddings and other life events.

The recipient will be informed through Facebook to enter a shipping address for delivery of the gift.

They can also exchange gifts for other items if they don’t like chocolate or don’t want socks. The move signified Facebook Inc’s first real expedition into e-commerce.
