Mumbai: Social worker Ravindra Brahme has stuck a case against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for disrespecting the national flag during the celebrations that pursued the Indian cricket team’s victory in the World Cup final held on April 2, 2011.
A police officer said that “Shah Rukh Khan has been booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and has been transferred to Mumbai police for further investigation. The case documents consists some photos and videos too.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s manager in Mumbai was unavailable for comment. However, the sources said that the actor does not have any knowledge about any such complaint against him.
By the way, Brahme had lately lodged a complaint against Mumbai-based model Gehna Vashisht for allegedly insulting the national flag by wearing it as a bikini. She was arrested on August 18 by police in Pune and released on bail the next day.
