Mary KomLondon—Women 800m: India’s Tintu Luka ran a awesome race to qualify for the women’s 800m semifinals after finishing 3rd in the second heat on Wednesday.

Boxing: India`s MC Mary Kom created history on Wednesday by becoming the country`s first woman boxer to triumph a medal at the Olympics. She had to settle for the bronze as she went down fighting in her 51kg semi-final fight against local favourite Nicola Adams.

On the other hand, Devendro Singh of India lost in men’s fly weight (49kg) quarterfinal fight against Paddy Barnes of Ireland 23-18 to bow out of the London Olympics.
