Elantra will be revised as Elantra Fluidic and will be launched by August this year, the reports said.
The company will launch the new fifth gen Elantra that is presently sold internationally. The car was shown early this year at the Auto Expo and attracted lots of attention thanks to its latest fluidic design.
Globally, Hyundai Elantra Fluidic is available in both petrol and diesel variants. India will get the 1.8-litre petrol engine with dual continuous variable valve timing and produces a most power of 150PS.
The diesel mill is 1.6-litre Crdi unit that is likely to produce 128PS. Six-speed manual and auto transmissions are on offer as well. It is available at priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 lakh.
