Spice has launched a new series of smartphones called Stelllar. The range includes the Spice Stellar (Mi-425), Spice Stellar Horizon (Mi-500) and the Spice Stellar Craze (Mi-355) all of which are Android-based smartphones.
The Spice Stellar has sports a 4-inch display of 800×480 pixel resolution and it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 245MHz GPU. The device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, though Spice has mentioned that it will be upgradable to Android 4.0 ICS. The device also comprises a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash, and front facing VGA camera, 512MB of RAM and up to 32GB of expandable. It comes with 2000 mAh battery which is rated for up to 7 hours talktime and up to 120 hours of standby. The price of this device is Rs. 9,999.
While, the Spice Stellar Horizon priced at Rs. 11,999 and comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a 5-inch display. This is a dual-SIM capable smartphone which is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, supported with a 300MHz GPU. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash and a front facing VGA camera. The battery size has not been revealed in the press release.
On the other hand, Spice Stellar Craze the most reasonable among the three, this is priced at Rs. 6,499. It also runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This device has a 3.5-inch display and it is powered by an 800MHz processor. Spice has not yet mentioned more details concerning this device.
All the three devices will soon be available in India through more than 50,000 retail stores, retail network and online retailer.
