Gogoi recommended the DCs to speed up the pace of development and make sure timely implementation of welfare-oriented schemes, said an official release.
Gogoi asked the DCs to make sure timely implementation of welfare schemes and ensure proper utilisation of funds. He said that “The DCs must strictly monitor and review the progress of each and every scheme and ensure proper utilisation of funds.”
The Chief Minister called upon the DCs to treaty top priority to total hygiene campaign, drinking water, health-related issues like Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate in which the State is lagging behind.
Gogoi urged upon the DCs to involve the Panchayati Raj Institutions to accelerate the development process. He also emphasised on concerning the NGOs in implementing government schemes.
