New Delhi: Chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Rajeev Shukla on Thursday said that he had sought a report from the match referee over the event involving Kings XI Punjab’s owner Preity Zinta during her side’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali on Wednesday.
Zinta was seen evidently disturbed and reacting dynamically against the controversial dismissal of Punjab’s Shaun Marsh.
Shukla said that he had asked the match referee Roshan Mahanama to submit a report to him at the initial on the incident.
Shukla told that “I have sought a report from the match referee on the entire issue. I will also take Preity Zinta’s version.”
It all happens, when Marsh was ruled out in a contentious manner in the 14th over. The left-hander under edge a Brett Lee delivery to KKR wicketkeeper Manvinder Bisla, who bobbed that he had taken the catch cleanly although TV replays suggested that there, was a doubt in the decision.
It took Kings XI captain Adam Gilchrist’s interference to calm Zinta down after she apparently had an exchange of words with the match officials.
