Election 2012 Results: SP set to form new Govt in UP.

Election 2012 resultsThe Samajwadi Party looks set to form the news government in Uttar Pradesh, with the party having triumph 3 seats and leading in 200. The Mayawati-led BSP is just ahead in 91 seats. The BJP is ahead in 47 seats, while the Congress and others in 44 and 16 respectively.

Congress got a surprise in Punjab with the ruling SAD-BJP unite well on the way to preserve power. Ruling Akali Dal-BJP combine bagged 56 seats and is leading in 12 and Congress wins 44 seats and leading in 2 seats whereas others in 3 seats.

Parkash Singh Badal, who has been CM of the state for four times, will get the admired mandate for the fifth time.  Good governance of SAD-BJP combine has defeated the collective card played by the Congress in these elections.

On the other hand, Uttarakhand eyewitness a neck-and-neck fight between BJP and Congress with the ruling party BJP bagged 10 seats and leading in 23 whereas Congress wins 11 and leads in 19 in the 70-member assembly.

While, the ruling Congress is leading in 21 seats and trends recommend that the grand old party is expected to retain power in the state for third consecutive term.

On the other hand, the BJP took early lead in Goa on Tuesday, winning 8 seats and leading in 4 others, whereas the Congress wins 2 and was leading in 3 others. In the meantime, the United Goan Democratic Party (UGDP) wins 1 seat and was leading in another. Meanwhile, the independents wins 1 seat.
