Mumbai: Recently, at Breach Candy Hospital, the actor who has been winning deep applauses and immeasurable accolades for his faultless performance in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ had to suffer an operation under the observation of Dr. Rushad T. Udwadia.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor had developed a sebaceous gland-related swelling on his back, and surgeons at the hospital had to remove it.
The actor was up and concerning in just a few hours, and the surgery did not hinder his daily activities. Afterwards the surgery, Ranbir came back home, and will be able to resume work when he wants to.
In the meantime, the shoot of ‘Barfi’ had to cancel for a few days due to the main leads sick health. Ilena, Ranbir’s co-star in the film had been down with food poisoning. But Ranbir is free to begin work whenever he feels like.
Concerning the cyst and the resulting operation that Ranbir underwent, a doctor who did not wish to be named, said that “Such cysts are not dangerous. But if not removed, they can grow and cause a lot of discomfort. They are formed generally when a sebaceous gland in one`s body gets blocked.”
