The report stated that the company has preferred the first week in March to unveiling the successor to the iPad 2, and will do so at one of its trademark special events. The event will be held in San Francisco, apparently at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple’s preferred location for big announcements like these.
According to a report the device is expected to see a much higher screen higher resolution or ‘Retina’ display. The new iPad will have a resolution of 2048 x 1536. Prior this week, it was revealed that Apple was now requiring developers to submit Retina-level screenshots of their apps to the App Store.
Apple did not comment on the story, saying it does not respond to rumours and speculations.
