The trade show begins at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on Jan 5. The Indian car giants will roll out its multipurpose or latest design vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki revealed the production ready Swift Sport at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year and the same is now on sale in Europe. The three-door performance version is powered by 1.6-litre VVT engine, which generates 135PS and 160Nm of torque. It is a concept powered by a petrol engine in unison with an electric motor.
Besides Swift Sports, Maruti Suzuki will also enter the MUV segment with the all new Etriga, which will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2012. The unveiling of the production ready multi-purpose vehicle will be a global one, and is likely to go on sale later in this year.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto proclaimed the launch of RE 60, an ultra-low cost car, which has created lot of buzz in the auto sector.
In the luxury sectors, Mercedes will roll in its newest M-class, followed by the launch of its sports car, Roadster, and concept car A-Class.
German auto-giant BMW is planning to govern the fair attention with its mini range of cars, while Audi will launch its compact SUV Q3.
