Renault’s Deputy MD & COO Sudhir Rao quits.

sudhir RaoAuto-major Renault’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer in India, Sudhir Rao has quietly called it quits, the reports said.

Rao, who played a lead role in the launch of Renault Fluence in India, will take a concise time off before deciding on his prospect plan.

Rao said that “I have decided to move on from Renault as the primary objective for which I came to the company, which was to create a new phase for Renault in India, has been achieved.”

During his period at Renault, Rao leads the restructuring of the MRPL/Logan business and also managed the launch of three products. Renault is currently set to launch two more products this year. It has opened 35 dealerships. This number is likely to go up to 100 by the end of 2012.

Rao told that a few interesting options are evolving for him. However, he specified that he would take a brief break before choose on his future course of action. States that he had mainly completed the mandate assigned to him, he said.
