Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj told reporters that “The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is the best middle-class sports bike. It will be commercially launched beginning next fiscal through 600 dealers across the country. The price is expected to be below Rs 1 lakh.”
Bajaj Auto Chief Technology Officer Abraham Joseph said that the model will have the cutting-edge engine which puts latest benchmarks in performance, emission and incidentally, also fuel efficiency.
He said the new motorbike takes DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark-ignition) technology, to another level with a SOHC 4-valve triple spark engine controlled by a superior electronic control unit for better performance.
The bike has liquid cooling and a six-speed gear box. The Pulsar will be manufactured at the company’s plant at Chakan near Pune, which has a capacity of manufactured 1,00,000 units per month, Joseph said.
