Three parties formed a pre-poll association for assembly elections in Manipur.

Manipur assembly electionImphal: Three political parties have formed a pre-poll association for the imminent January 28 assembly elections in Manipur.

Opposition leader and senior Manipur People’s Party (MPP) leader O Joy said that they have determined to form a pre-poll association with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Janata Dal (United).

JD (U) national president Arun Kumar Srivastava said that the association is intended to defeat the Congress and carry a new government to assist the people.

NCP Manipur unit president Radhabinod Koijam, a former chief minister, said that “the people of Manipur are not satisfied with the present government as they couldn’t even solve the blocking of two national highways for more than 120 days”.

MPP president Nimaichand Luwang said people of Manipur should not be influenced by money power.
