New Delhi: CBI has aligned 100 witnesses, comprising Adil Malia, Group President (HR) Essar Group, seeking to support its case in a Delhi court against the Ruias and the Khaitans, accused in 2G spectrum case.
CBI also adduced 398 documents seeking to prove its case, where it has suspected Loop Telecom was created as a front company of Essar Group to secure 2G licenses in 2008.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) counsel U Lalit said that Loop Telecom had served as Essar Group’s change ego and made false representations to the department of telecommunications (DoT).
The special CBI court would decide on whether or not to take cognizance of the Essar-Loop Telecom charge sheet in the 2G spectrum case on Dec 21.
Essar Group has denied in a statement, about any connection in the 2G scam and said it has only 2.15 per cent and there was no breach of clause 8 of the Unified Access Services Licences (UASL) guidelines.
