Lamborghini SpA launched Aventador LP 700-4 in India.

Aventador LP 700-4 New Delhi: Asia’s second- growing market, Italian luxury sports car maker Automobili Lamborghini SpA launched the all-new Aventador LP 700-4 model in India, priced at Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) on Thursday.
The latest in the range, Aventador was 1st introduced at the Geneva Motor show in March this year and has already received orders from 20 Indian customers. The company alleges to have received over 1,500 bookings globally.
“This year we expect to sell around 20 Lamborghini in India and aim to double the tally in 2012,” said Satya Bagla, managing director of Lamborghini’s sole dealer in India, Exclusive Motors.
Aventador powered by a 12-cylinder and 6.5-litre engine and is among the fastest street-legal cars in the world and can touch a top speed of up to 350 km per hour. Crafted from composite carbon materials that are used in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Lamborghini the Scissors Doors, Aventador accelerates to 0-100 km/hour in just 2.9 seconds.
According to industry insiders, the Indian market where about 100 such sports cars with the likes of Ferrari SpA, Aston Martin, Porsche and Bugatti coming over the crore plus bracket were sold last year, is expected to double in 2011. The Aventador, which carries taxes in excess of 100% like other imported cars, has a waiting period of up to 18 months for Indian customer.
