Dimapur: Young achievers in different fields from across North East India came together to connect and exchange ideas on topics pertinent to the present scenario of the region in a historic meet called ‘Young Leaders Connect’.
About 15 speakers and 4 moderators with over 200 delegates gathered at the Bamboo Hall at Kisama near Kohima on Monday as young leaders from 8 NE States came together for 1st time under the theme ‘Connect, Exchange, Strengthen’.
The meet was made expected through YouthNet, a non-profit organisation with a aim to assist youth acquire knowledge, life skills and form attitude to allow them to become self-directing, positive, productive, responsible and contributing members of society through active participation and involvement.
Young Leaders Connect featured youth icon Bhaichung Bhutia as chair and Anato Zhimomi as co-chair and the event was organised in partnership with the Government of Nagaland. The leaders covered a variety of topics comprising sessions where interactions were also held after each session.
