New Delhi: Country’s 2nd largest mobile handset manufacturer Samsung and movie renting firm BigFlix today launched a video-on-demand application, My Movies, offering free video content for the 1st 2,000 hours.
Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile and IT, said in a statement that “By providing consumers with India-relevant applications and rich content on our smart mobile devices like tablets and smartphones, we are seeking to make their experience with our devices more engaging and immersive.”
My Movies will be available for users of Samsung Galaxy S, SII and Galaxy Tab 750 offering consumers full length feature films, trailers, TV shows and music videos up to 1st 2000 hours during 1st phase of its launch from BigFlix, the statement said.
In the 2nd phase, My Movies application shall offer premium content to the users on subscription as well.
“The subscription service will allow the user to watch full-length feature films and over 1,000 movies with no interruption from advertisement,” it said. The company, however, did not disclose when will it start the second phase.
