NEIim held an assembly for hope and peace!

north east indiaNew Delhi: North East India image managers (NEIim) held an assembly for hope and peace at Jantar Mantar here on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the serial blasts in Assam in 2008.

“People lit candles, diyas praying for hope and world peace and took pledge to work for peace and development of the North-East region,” said Soumya Dev, NEim spokesperson.

On October 30, 2008, Guwahati and several other parts of Assam were rocked by serial blasts and over hundred people lost their lives in the horrific attacks.

Accusing all acts of terrorism and violence, a business journalist from Manipur Rajkumar Leishemba said that “Our land has bled enough. It is time we should abjure such acts of cowardice and make way for peace…”
