Bangalore: Earlier Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa was rushed to hospital late on Saturday night after he complained of chest pain. Yeddyurappa is endured treatment in the ICU of Jayadeva Hospital, doctors said.
This happen within hours of him being arrested and being stiff at the central prison in Bangalore. Yeddyurappa surrendered on Saturday after a Special Lokayukta Court rejected his bail petition in 2 government land denotification cases.
His party the BJP has appear in his support and promise to fight it out in court. He avoided arrest by the police and instead surrendered before Lokayukta court, following which, Yeddyurappa was remanded to judicial custody till October 22.
A Lokayukta special court in Bangalore rejected his bail application and issued arrest warrant against him on Saturday. But, his children and son-in-law managed to secure bail.
A stunned BJP tried to downplay the development. “It is a legal matter. We will fight it out legally,” said BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
A private complaint against Yeddyurappa’s role in the land denotification scam sealed his fate. He was forced out of his office over 2 months ago in a massive mining scam.
