Spice Mobility launched 7 inch Android tablet at 12,990.

MiTabNew Delhi: Spice Mobility has launched a tablet called the MiTab in India. This 7 inch tablet is priced competitively at Rs 12,990, putting it directly in competition with Reliance 3G Tab.

MiTab powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 MHz Turbo Processor, the tablet comes with a screen resolution of 800 x 480. MiTab will run Android 2.2 version (Froyo). As for the memory, MiTab supports up to 32GB expandable memory.

The tablet also packs a 2 megapixel camera at the back and a VGA camera for video calling. For connectivity, the tablet comes with built-in 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The tablet will also support HTML browsing and Adobe flash player.

Commenting on the launch, chairman of S Mobility BK Modi said that “Mobile Internet is a revolution, a new trend which comes from the customers’ connectivity need to be always on. Tablets play an important part in this revolution. Tablets may very well be the 1st PC for most of the Indians. There has been a growing demand for ‘tabs’ which can do so much ranging from multimedia to social networking to even your official work.”

The device will be available across the country through over 50,000 retail points including the 750+ Spice HotSpot retail network and also online through Spice’s online store.
