England sealed a series after 4th ODI ended in a draw.

India Vs England 4th ODILondon: England sealed a series triumph over India after the 4th one-day international at Lord’s ended in a draw on Sunday when the match was abandoned due to rain.

Ravi Bopara’s excellent knock of 96 helped England reach 270-8 with 7 balls remaining before rain forced the players off the field for the 3rd time in the innings.

They did not came back and the match was finally abandoned as a draw as England was level with the par score in the Duckworth-Lewis reading, which is used to choose revised targets in rain-affected matches.

It left the hosts with an indisputable 2-0 lead in the five-match series heading into the final game, at Cardiff, on Friday. And England had already beaten India 4-0 in the test series and wins a one-off Twenty20 match by 6 wickets.

Suresh Raina (84) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (78 not out) put on a glitzy fifth-wicket stand of 169 as the Indians put into bat for the 4th straight match set a competitive target in search of a 1st triumph in any format this summer.

Raina crashed 7 fours and 2 sixes in his 75-ball innings and Dhoni made similarly destructive knock off 71 deliveries to give the Indians hope of a triumph that would have kept the series alive.
