Azharuddin’s son died 5 days after critically injured in bike accident.

Mohammed AyazuddinHyderabad: Ayazuddin, son of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, died in hospital on Friday, 5 days after he was vitally injured in an accident involving his high-end sports bike.

The 19-year-old youngest son of the cricketer-turned politician succumbed to his injuries this morning at the Apollo Hospitals, Doctors said.

Ayazuddin fights for life and remained on ventilator support after he continued critical injuries when the sports bike he was driving skidded off the road at Puppalguda on Outer Ring Road (ORR) last Sunday.

The budding cricketer remained in a critical condition throughout while tests indicated dysfunction of his brain.

In a medical bulletin issued yesterday, Apollo Hospitals CEO Dr K Hari Prasad said that “Brain function tests conducted on Ayazuddin (in the past few days) indicate brain dysfunction. And his status remains critical.”

Ayazuddin‘s cousin, Ajmal-ur-Rahman (16) who was riding pillion, yields to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
