AGP fired yet another salvo at Congress Government.

AGPGuwahati: The Opposition AGP fired yet another salvo at the Congress Government over the Indo-Bangladesh land deal, saying that, it is the beginning of an autocratic Congress rule in the State.

Replying to the charges levelled by the Congress leaders in a political rally yesterday, AGP president Chandra Mohan Patowary said that the people would never entertain ‘incongruent and misleading’ justification of the Chief Minister.

Patowary said that “People of Assam will never forgive the Congress for causing this great loss to the State, and the Chief Minister should resign owning moral responsibility.”

The AGP also assumed that the Congress Government in the State is blindly following the Centre’s dictate to avoid the possible consequences of the Rs 1,000-crore NC Hills scam.

The role of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and many of his Cabinet colleagues was obvious in the scam and the Government was left with no other selection although to toe the lines of the Centre.
