DIG Nepal Das said that the activists were representative ahead of the police headquarters and at least 6000 activists of the opposition Congress were detained and afterwards released. But no problematic incident was reported.
Earlier President of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Birajit Sinha said that the civil disobedience movement was organised to press for 25 points of charter of demands.
The demands integrated stopping crime against women, providing more jobs under MGNREGA scheme, jobs to jobless youths. Afterwards a delegation led by Sinha submitted a memorandum to the government through Sub-divisional Magistrate.
