Delhi Police approved to relax 6 of the 22 conditions for the social activist to hold his indefinite fast against the government version of the Lokpal bill. They also said that the venue of the fast has been shifted from J.P. Park to Ramlila Ground in Delhi.

But Hazare, who is in the Tihar Jail, has declined to leave the jail unless he is allowed to prolong with his indefinite fast and the restrains are lifted.

During the early evening, there were reports that Anna would wrap his talks with the police and come out from jail. But shortly after 6 pm, Anna supporter Kiran Bedi warned the crowd at Tihar that Anna may spend another night in prison.

She said that “The talks with the Delhi Police are continuing.” She also demanded the crowd to move to another gate at the prison so that food and other supplies for prisoners could be delivered.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said in a parliament that “We are not worried; we will find a way out of this.” Hae also added that “path that he has chosen to impose his draft of a bill upon parliament is totally misconceived and fraught with grave consequences for our parliamentary democracy.”
