Announcing Bharti’s come back in the BJP, party president Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday welcomed her in the party at New Delhi. The assessment to re-induct Uma Bharti was taken just days after the BJP’s national executive meet concluded in Lucknow.
Gadkari said that “Uttar Pradesh will be the main area of her work and she will have a prominent role to play there in the campaign of the party. The decision to reinduct her into the party was taken with consensus. BJP will get a new energy in Uttar Pradesh with Uma.”
Uma Bharti was concerned a showcase notice by the party leadership after she had objected to LK Advani’s praise of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She had also smashed Advani for indiscipline and had also demanded his eviction. He had challenged Advani in view of journalists and TV cameras and walked out of the party.
Uma Bharti had subsequently formed her own team Bhartiya Janshakti Party. Though, she failed to set up herself politically and her party faded away.
